Show home of truth by k M OGDEN busy days in the valley for all who are there the men are bus busy V at repair work and carpentry the final improvements to be made in the cabin at the middle section are about completed and the interior of that home is now quite transformed 0 the women folk are canning vegetables as fast as they are gathered and a goodly supply is now stored on the shelves for wint winter er use next will be the fruits as they arrive and we are ready to take whatever may be offered in trade as the weeks advance we also want tomatoes tomato since our own supply will be limited this year the late planting and short season for growth are the reasons a the rye and other grains are ready for harvest but it has been impossible to get anyone to cut it since all available machinery and men are ar e engaged elsewhere we very much need our own equipment but until it is possible to get some we are dependent on others for this service the folks in the valley enjoyed the eclipse of the moon last week A glorious sight they said and one they will not soon forget our eastern friends are also enjoying the delightful climate in this intermountain ter mountain country which is so different from the humidity and dampness of the lower altitudes and coast cities 0 we now have a banjo added to our music musical al instrument family taken on a trade |
