Show recipe column 0 LAMB PIE WITH MASHED POTATO BORDER 2 cups diced dicea cooked lamb 1 cup carrot balls 8 or 10 small white onions 1 green pepper sliced 12 2 cup diced dicea celery 1 pimiento diced dicea salt and pepper leftover left over gravy cook the vegetables until nearly done add diced dicea lamb and leftover left over gravy put in a casserole cook long enough to heat the meat thoroughly pipe a border of hot mashed potatoes around the edge and place under the broiler flame to brown CRANBERRY F Y BROWN BETTY two cups bread crumbs 3 butter 3 cups apples stewed and sweetened and cranberry sauce melt butter and add crumbs stirring well put layer of crumbs in buttered casserole then a layer of apples sprinkle each layer generously with bits of the cranberry sauce add more crumbs and fill casserole in alternate layers as before saving the crumbs for top layer dot with butter and bake 45 minutes in a moderate oven degrees F S serve er ve with plain or whipped cream serves six CORN FLAKE MACAROONS for 1 dozen macaroons macar use u se 2 egg whites 1 cup brown or granulated sugar ii teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups corn flakes cup chopped nut meats and I 1 cup of shredded cocoanut coco anut beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry fold in sugar add flavoring corn flakes nut meats and cocoanut coco anut mix carefully drop by spoonfuls on well greased baking sheet bake in moderate oven 15 to 20 minutes remove immediately f from rom pan 0 3 tablespoons ful ch acken or f ish fish 1 teaspoonful salt dash of cayenne 2 teaspoonful worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoonful lemon juice I 1 teaspoonful prepared mustard all of which make a very delicious sandwich ch filling |
