Show funeral held here for pioneer woman funeral services for mrs geo H black 73 who died at salt lake city saturday were held at the church here tuesday afternoon at two with H j loyd hansen in charge mrs black who before her marriage was manerva washburn lived in new mexico and came to utah with her busand 25 years ago and homesteaded homestead ed in spring creek vicinity north of monticello she was preceded lin in death by her husband and daughter short ly after moving here the first speaker mr A B barton spoke very highly of mrs black having been a neighbor of the deceased for many years A quartet composed of arch bronson fletch bronson clarence black and merrill stevens then gave a musical selection invocation was by jesse washburn her brother mrs ruth bailey then gave a solo which was followed by speaker walter st lyman of blanding the con adding speaker was C E walton benediction was by edson black of blanding at the cemetery the quartet rendered the beautiful number nearer my god to thee the dedication of the grave was by mr huntsman of durango colo there were many floral tributes mrs blacks only daughter mrs adair and many relatives from blanding were here for the funeral |
