| Show our weekly chat M M 0 on monday of each week we prepare this bit of newa for you as we review the happenings of ofa past days but strange to say there is little to relate on this occasion unless we talk about the change in the weather and the gain we are making not a visitor has crossed our threshold during the week altho our own folk have come on two occasions as a group and individually when there was need to discuss business or family affairs the same routine of daily work is engaging our men and women with the result that they are busy every day for five days of each week because as you know we observe saturday a aa our sabbath day during the fall and winter months and beginning with last saturday afternoon the family will come to our cabin for the weekly study period which in other years was held on friday evening this change will be observed until we are able to get about more easily when the evening periods may be resumed speaking of progress we ma may Y say that another bit of advancement has been made in that we are enjoying almost daily perio periods d s of baking or cooking the process is somewhat different than in former times since we must remain seated for this work although in easy reach of the stove and table which accommodates the equipment and materials we use but its lots of fun to get back to this sort of work and so are certain hours of each morning spent after I 1 the breakfast hour and the usual period of recording are over i we are also looking forward to a trip to moab later in the week in order that dr allen alien may inspect the injured leg and we hope decide that we may not have to wear this bulky cast the full ten weeks as ordered four weeks ago when the mishap occurred and so the weeks pass quickly by seeming scarcely possible that we are entering the month of november this week during last week the weather changed and for three days the wind blew and the skies were overcast finally came a day of rain followed by clearing skies and while the temperature is somewhat lower it is warming up again at this writing we understand there was snow in monticello also on nearby mountains as viewed from our cabin but with more of this warmer weather it will soon disappear we continue to give thanks for the many blessings we enjoy and for the progress of past days in all ways and directions |
