| Show soil conservation service coming here for summer moab times independent A national park service C C C camp will be located at moab in in the spring to do development work in arches nation monument according to an unofficial report current here this week the park service unit will occupy the moab camp and the soil conservation conser vaton service company compa ny now located here will move to monticello for the summer the soil conservation service it is reported has completed arrangements to work its camp at monticello in summer and at moab in the winter in the event the park service ervice camp is located here it will ivill be necessary next fall to construct another camp either at moab or in the vicinity of moab in order to provide quarters for the park and soll soil conservation uni is 3 while no official announcement has been made regarding the establishment babl of the park service camp it is known that the service is very anxious to locate a unit here to commence improvement work in in arches monument the work planned includes erection of headquarters buildings building of roads and trails and dev development elop of water projects the soil conservation camp can work to better advantage in the summer by being located av at monticello ti where many work projects have been signed up much work also remains to be done in the vicinity of moab but geographical and climatic conditions make it advisable to do this work in the winter I 1 |
