| Show School grounds As A civic beauty spot and playground planned PROPOSED BEAUTY SPOT AND recreation CENTER what is finer and gives a community more civic pride than a fully landscaped public building what gives parents a greater feeding of security than the knowledge that their children are safe principal glenn hansen has underway plans for beautifying the aroun grounds surrounding the monticello school mal making ing it a beauty spot and a recreation grounds for the whole com further mr hansen has included plans for a children s play ground including swings slides and other modern play ground appliances for the older children aud and adults there are included plans for a ta track ack tennis court baseball diamond football and basketball field and court cour and a proposed swimming pool it is understood that the rebus rota club has volunteered its help but of course this is too to big a job for any one group in our community to sponsor alone they will need help and lots of it to put such a big project over properly it would seems to us that this is a project for the united efforts of every group in the community it would further seem if we understand properly that this is just such a job as the civic club is created for why not come out to the civic club meeting next nex monday evening at the san juan county courthouse gout and discuss this matter it would further seem to us that all organizations such as the M I 1 A the scouts the club the relief society priesthood and aad all other groups that stand for the benefit of cf mankind and community v elware belware should be interested enough to get behind such a project and help put it over ever for the good of Monte eho and its environs lets put our chlders sh to the wheel and put it over |
