| Show successful SCHOOLS it sho should u id be a source of much gratification fi to the entire community that the school board was aue able to announce last week that pupils of san juan county counti are to have a full term of school this year the announcement says much for the carefulness and efficiency of the board and the administration n ministration as well a as a for the loy loyalty a ity of the teaching staff in this time of stress it Is a foregone conclusion that eliat san juan will be much more fortunate in this respect than many other school ch 00 districts in our our own state and in others the announcement sets at rest unwarranted apprehensions and much idle blue tinted gossip about the school situation the children are mohave their full quota of instruction the occasion offers an excellent chance to teach them a lesson unfortunately not in eluded between the coveri covers ot of their text books the lesson of appreciation tor for what their parents i their teachers and all the taxpayers are doing for their benefit many of the parents and more of the grandparents of the children now in the claw class rooms were able to enjoy and benefit from but a small par part ol of the formal schooling which the youngsters of today too often ta kewith but scant thanks to give the students now a better understanding of tho the opportunities given them of the sac to help them ito ibo the advantages of education would be particularly ticul arly impressive under existing conditions |
