Show - BOWLING At Southeast Bowling Courts honors for last week go to the South Side League which last Tuesday night showed some beautiful beau-tiful bowling. Two of the teams topped 2700 for team series, Barrett Bar-rett and Weiss having 2771, and the Bingham Merchants 2758. Bar nett and Weiss also had high game of 1111 which included C. P. Anderson's 265 high score, and C. P. also rolled high series of 627. The boys of the league will have to work hard to beat those scores. On Wednesday night, the play of the 16 teams Southeast league was featured by a team which is still without a sponsor. The Independents In-dependents 'had a 2620 high series and 956 high game to win 3 points but Morley Bros, won 4 to retain top place. Hugo Brand had 594 high series with 218 high game. The Lumberman's League on Friday night finds the Granite Mill team still in top spot with 8 points won, by the Morrison and Merrill "W" team had high series and high game for the evening. eve-ning. R. Ingram of that team had a 629 series with 243 high same. On the second shift Friday night was the opening session of the Cardinal Ladies League, and the ladies showed much improved bowling over last year. The Bowers Bow-ers Home Furnishing team had high score of 2159 and 750 high game, and C. R- Michels team took 4 points for first place. Madge Garton had 538 high series, but her 219 was only good for a tie with Novella Bertram for high game. Nice bowling for the ladies. Roy Garton took the house for Its field donation of the season last week when he rolled the old "skipper" game for 200, and pock eted the $2 with a satisfied grin. ' Who will be the first to bowl 3000 this year? That A. B. C. medal is a handsome ornament for any bowler's watch chair. To cap the excellent bowling of the South Side League last week, this week on the Monday night Sugar House Major League the Granite Mill team really went to town. The most torrid bowling in the city so far this season netted them 2950 series and 1062 high game, Clint Sylvester led the team with a 627 total, followed by H. Ensign with 59S. D. Twelves 5S2. Fred Sandberg 571, and . Rushton 5S0. Clints high lame was 269, while Bill Ward of the Sugar . Bowl bowled a nice series of 620 including a 243 game.
