Show GENERAL TYPEWRITER BUYS FAIRBURfl STORE IN S. H. The General Typewriter company compa-ny purchased Fairburn's Typewriter Typewrit-er store at 818 East 21st South this week and is making plans for a grand opening as soon as negotiations nego-tiations are complete. Robert A. Winder, owner and manager of the new business, is a native of the city and has been in the business many years. Prior to opening the General Typewriter company he was an accountant. The business is dealer for Victor Adding Machine and handles all makes of rebuilt office machines and maintains a large repair and service department. It is the largest independent shop in the city. The decision to move to the Sugar Sug-ar House area was inspired by the extensive parking areas within the business section of Sugar House, and the acute parking situation in downtown Salt Lake. The new location will also offer larger floor space and more adequate ade-quate facilities for the repair department. de-partment. Sugar House welcomes the new business as one of the oldest and largest office machine dealers in the valley, the chamber of commerce com-merce reported. I |
