Show BYU '54 SUMMER REGISTRATION Applications for admission to Brigham Young University summer sum-mer school should be made by May 8, it was announced by Dr. Ariel S. Ballif, summer school dean. Registration has been set for June 14, and classwork for the first term begins June 15. The term will end July 16. Registration for the second term will be July 19, and classwork will start on that day. The term will end August 20, the date set for the Seventy-ninth Summer Convo-l Convo-l cation at the Provo university. ! According to Dr. Ballif, a stu-. stu-. dent may register for either term, but is encouraged to register for s both summer school terms on June 14. One of the richest ' offerings in the history of BYU summer school ' has been prepared for this sum-I sum-I mer session, Dr. Ballif said. An outstanding array of authorities, j artists and lectures have been booked for both sessions. I The academic staff will include ) eminent men in their respective j fields now members of the BYU I faculty, and guest faculty mem- bers of renown. Approximately 200 of the finest authorities in their areas have been appointed to teach during both summer sessions. They will offer outstanding classes in 38 areas of instruction. In addition to the fine academic offering, extensive plans for recreational rec-reational activities, institutes, festivals, fes-tivals, workshops and clinics have been completed. An expanded summer sum-mer music season will be highlighted high-lighted by the world-famous Paga-nini Paga-nini Quartet, and Anna Kaska, contralto of Metropolitan opera fame, plus a brilliant array of artists. |
