Show GRANITE HONORS P-TA HEADS AT ANNIVERSARY A dinner at the residence of Mrs. Everett D. Wood, 6141 South Redwood Red-wood Rd., observed the 30th anniversary anni-versary of the founding of the Granite school district Parents and Teachers Monday evening. All nine of the living past presidents, presi-dents, including the first, were honored hon-ored at the dinner, Mrs. Wood, present president, announced. They were Mrs. G. G. Cannon, J. J. Stewart, Stew-art, Mrs. G. A. Bullock, Mrs. R. C. Day, Mrs. S. W. Bawden, Mrs. R. E. Lloyde, Mrs. M. E. Christensen and Mrs. Jones. The group included Mrs. H. C. Carlisle, first president of the organization, or-ganization, and who served for two years from 1923 to 1925. Speakers were Mrs. Donald E. Rose, Bountiful, president of the Utah Congress of Parents and i Teachers: Sunerintendent Gourlev. Granite school district, and Mrs. George H. Judd Jones, South Salt Lake regional director for the P-TA. Assisting the hostess were present pres-ent officers, Mrs. Cecil Jacobsen, Mrs. Willis Whitbeck, vice presidents; presi-dents; Mrs. John E. Cameron, Mrs. M. G. Ahlquist and Mrs. Robert P. Cooper, committee members. |
