Show Jaycees to Paint, Clean Up House This Weekend After an intensive search for a widow's home in need of paint, Joe George, General Clean-Up Paint-Up Fix-Up Chairman announced an-nounced at the last membership meeting that he had found an appropriate ap-propriate project for the club's campaign. The Jaycees will begin their work at 2618 So. 0th East Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon after-noon and all day Saturday. With paint brushes, scrapers, ladders, rakes and hoes the young men of action and their wives will transform trans-form this home into one to be proud of and a credit to the surrounding sur-rounding area. All the paint, materials and equipment for the job is being furnished by the W. P. Fuller Cc. After the Jaycees and the auxiliary aux-iliary have finished with their civic improvement service they have been invited to the home of 1st Vice-president Bob Runnells. Bob, his lovely wife, Marian, and Marie George will be chief cook and entertainment committee at a weiner roast for the entire club. Vice President and chairman Joe George wishes to thank the paint Co. for the materials and the Salt Lake Meat, Shelton Meat, Coca Cola Bottling Co., Holsom Bakery, Snelgrove Ice Cream and Country Club Potato Chips for providing refreshments for the picnic. Newly elected President George Henry Johnson urges every Jaycee to help as much as possible to brighten the home of this 75 year old widow. |
