Show LUTHERANS SET IVEEEC SERVICE A week of special services are being be-ing observed at the St. Johns Lutheran Luth-eran church, according to Reverend R. E. Schultz, pastor. Three meetings were scheduled yesterday for the annual mission rally of the church. Reverend Arnold Meyer of Denver will be the featured speaker. He is executive secretary of missions and stewardships steward-ships for the Colorado district, of which Utah is a part. Thanksgiving service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday. Reverend Schultz will preach the sermon. Sunday meetings commenced at 11 a.m., 4 and 7 p.m. At the evening eve-ning service, Rev. Meyer outlined the mission program of the Lutheran Luth-eran church as a whole and of this area in particular. All Lutherans in the state of Utah were invited to attend the afternoon and evening sessions of the rally. The church choir, under direction of C. W. Schwich, is providing music for all four meetings. |
