Show fx s I ' -k , 1 BRAZILIAN FILM TO SHOW HI KINGSBURY Let's See Brazil, a colorful film-story, will be presented by the University Travel club Tuesday at 8:15 p. m. in Kingsbury Hall. Karl Robinson, the film's producer, pro-ducer, will be familiar to Salt Lake audiences for his previous films on Switzerland and Japan. His new film on the people of Brazil is especially timely, corre- 1 sponding to the current interest ! in the political conflicts and the ' 'bloodless revolution' in Brazil. Since the days of the early con-quistadores con-quistadores to the present the search for wealth has played a part in the development of Bra-zil. Bra-zil. Robinson takes due note of this by recording the activities in the Moro Velho mine, the deepest op- . erating gold mine in the world. He also has pictures of the brilliant bril-liant gems taken from the precious stone mines of Minas Gerais. Although the countryside of Brazil has been recorded in all its colorful detail, the emphasis is on people and things of human interest. Robinson's sense of humor and understanding of his subject flavor fla-vor both his narrative and his photography. Tickets can be obtained after 6 p. in. on November 26, the night of the performance, at the box office at Kingsbury Hall. |
