Show SUP Calls Board Session First meeting of the 1954 executive execu-tive board of the National Society of Sons of Utah Pioneers will be conducted September 8 at the SUP Museum, Horace A. Sorensen, national na-tional president, reported. Scheduled to meet for its first stated meeting will be Past President Presi-dent Nicholas G. Morgan Sr.; vice presidents, Wilson Lunt, Cedar City; James E. Burns, Bountiful; Dr. Joel C. Ricks, Logan; Dr. Carl Christensen, Salt Lake; Dr. A. L. Smith, Ogden. H. Ward McCarty, outstanding public relations counsellor, will be guest speaker, talking on "A Practical Prac-tical Approach to Increased Membership Mem-bership and a Better Informed Membership in the National Society So-ciety of the Sons of Utah Pioneers." Pi-oneers." A secretary, a treasurer, an historian, his-torian, a chaplain and a judge advocate will be approved by the executive group. The meeting kicks off the 1954-55 1954-55 slate of activities which President Presi-dent Sorensen promises to be a very Tjusy year for the entire national na-tional society. Much of the activity is pledged to the development and expansion of the SUP Museum, which already is rated as one of the classic examples ex-amples of pioneer history and lore in the entire world. |
