Show PRACTICAL NURSING COURSE OFFERED SALT LAKE WOMEN to be strongly felt. NSPN training consists of both theory and practice, in two sections, sec-tions, basic and advanced, leading to a diploma. Classes will be held mornings, afternoons and evenings. All instruction will be given by registered nurses. A short four-month streamlined course is offered as well as free placement service for graduates-Women graduates-Women and girls from 16 to 60 are qualified and no high school education edu-cation is required. Salt Lake City has been selected by the National System of Practical Nursing, Inc., as the location for its school for Utah. The school has been chartered to Mrs. Agnes D. Thorup, prominent local matron, and is located at 311 Beason Building, 25 E. 2nd South. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for visitors. Due to the critical national shortage short-age of nurses, the National System of Practical Nursing, Inc., is establishing es-tablishing numerous chartered schools throughout the country, placing them in communities similar sim-ilar in size to Salt Lake City. Through this program, not only is the opportunity to become a graduate grad-uate practical nurse brought to women and girls who heretofore had to travel to the larger cities to get such training, but the effect on the nursing shortage is expected |
