Show VYARSIIAW IN FOOD TALK T0S.II. LIONS Maurice Warshaw spoke on food problems here and abroad at the first meeting of the Sugar House Lions club Monday. Having recently returned from Europe, Mr. Warshaw had an opportunity op-portunity to compare food production produc-tion and distribution with similar problems In the U. S. Hy Facer gave an interesting report re-port on the Lion International convention con-vention which he attended with club president Calvin R. Wooley. John Roghaar gave a biographical biographi-cal sketch of Sherman Lowe, who is an outstanding Lion from Grace, Idaho, now a member of the Sugar House group. Dr. F. Heber Kimball and Kenneth Ken-neth R. Neeley were officially accepted ac-cepted and welcomed into the club. The key award was presented to Lee Silver for bringing two members mem-bers into Lionism. Three ten year "Old Monarch" chevrons were presented , to Lions Duane O. Wright, Wendell Cottrell and O. Merlin Vance, for recognition recogni-tion for ten years continual service serv-ice to the organization. Lions Duane and Wendell are past presidents presi-dents of the Sugar House club. Calvin R. Wooley was presented with a past secretary's pin. Secretary Secre-tary Joe Fisher conducted the meeting which was held at Andy's Smorgasbord on Highland Drive. |
