Dr. Strong, whose appointment is effective in February, was director di-rector of pupil personnel in the Granite sciioo district. Announced at the board meeting also was the appointment of Dr. W. Harold Handley to the district offices in guidance work. Dr. Handley Hand-ley has been student counselor at Olympus. He will be in charge of attendance and placement activi-:ics activi-:ics Superintendent David Gourley said. T'r-.uiday Kenneth E. Lyon was ' named the director of pupil per- sc-ncl fcr the district in the sec-, sec-, ond major shift of the week. Lyon, now the district psychologist, psycholo-gist, succeeds Dr. Strong. He will direct pupil testing (both group and individual psychological testing) test-ing) and will supervise the visiting teachers' s.aff and the handicapped children's program. |
