Show EMC LIONS AND LADIES HOLD INSTALLATION East Mill Creek Lions and Lady Lions held joint installation Thursday Thurs-day evening at Alpine Rose Lodge. A smorgasbord dinner was enjoyed en-joyed by the group, with Fred E. Pike acting as master of ceremonies. cere-monies. LaVar Thatcher, newly elected governor of district T, talked to group and was installing officer. The program included three vocal vo-cal numbers by Mildred Egbert and readings by Mrs. Frank Hawk. Mrs. Roswell Coon, outgoing president, presi-dent, led the new officers and outgoing out-going officers in a comic band. Mrs. Charles Merrill was program chairman. chair-man. New officers elected for the Lady Lions were Mrs. Harvey Penny, president; Mrs. Roy W. West, vice president; Mrs. William A. Cannon, Can-non, secretary - treasurer; Mrs. Grant W. Maxfield, historian; Mrs. Bayard M. Robison and Mrs. B. M. Winsor, directors. Holdover directors direc-tors are Mrs. Frank T. Schnitker and Mrs. Dale E. Fisher. Mrs. Roswell H. Coon, outgoing president, was presented with a piece of luggage and a past-president's pin. Other outgoing officers are Mrs. Clyde W. Reeveley, vice president; Mrs. William H. Johnson, secretary-treasurer; secretary-treasurer; Mrs. J. Freeman Dam-ron, Dam-ron, historian; Mrs. Roy W. West, Mrs. Rolland Bain, directors. All were presented gifts. Lions club officers installed were Herman B. Prater, president; Jo- seph J. Brubaker, first vice president; presi-dent; Clinton P. Mott, second vice president; William E. Nelson, third vice president; B. M. Windsor, secretary-treasurer; Dan E. Howells, lion tamer; Don C. Kienke, tail twister; Dale Fisher, LeRoy M. Strand, directors, and Eugene Duf-fin Duf-fin and George R. Gygi, holdover directors. Clinton P. Mott was program pro-gram chairman for the Lions. More than 100 attended. |
