Show $3 MILLION SHOPPING CENTER TO BE BUILT IN SUGAR HOUSE the Magna Investment and Development De-velopment Co., said: "Papanikolas brothers are proud to co-operate with the Curtis family fam-ily in constructing this monument to a man whose foresight and faith in the growth of Sugar House brought it about." Participating are Alexander R. Curtis and sons, Elbert R., Jesse R., Louis R., A. Ray, Dale R., Marvin R. and Dr. LeGrand R. Curtis, all of Salt Lake; Dr. Lindsay R. Curtis, Ogden, and a son-in-law, Milton L. Christensen. John E., Nick E. and Gus E. Papanikolas have purchased property prop-erty adjacent to Curtis property to complete the tract. Sugar House will have a brand new, $3,000,000 shopping center and work has begun on clearing the property for the great industrial indus-trial project. A. R. Curtis and the Magna Investment In-vestment and Development company com-pany will construct the center between be-tween Highland Drive and 13th East and from Wilmington Ave. to Stringham Ave. for between 30 and 40 stores. J. C. Penney and Albertson's a a food store, were the first two units listed as leased. Between 35 and 40 others have applied to lease other units. Equitable Life Assurance Society and First Security Corp. are financing finan-cing the construction. It is anticipated to key the grand opening in with the 100th anniversary anni-versary of Sugar House in 1954. The center will be dedicated to Alexander R.
