Home Show Delights Fabulous new fashions in home furnishings were shown off Wednesday Wed-nesday to thousands who came into Sugar House for a peek into the furniture future. The great furniture markets of the southeast joined hands in greeting greet-ing the throngs who turned out for the fifth annual Home Show event. From period styles 'to ultramodern, ultra-modern, the furniture went on dramatic display as South East, Granite, Holland, Forsey, Ray Nil-son's, Nil-son's, Christiansen, Rockwood and Sterling stores opened their doors for strictly exhibition purposes. There were no sales. But that was Wednesday, and by press time last night, hordes of visitors were returning to shop for some of the new delights they'd I seen at the Home Show. South East Furniture offered some tasteful entertainment to its visitors who marveled at the modern, mod-ern, contemporary, provincial and traditional lines that were shown. Granite's chief display centered around the ultra-modern bedroom suite. Forsey displayed early American styles to good advantage at his Highland drive establishment. And so it went, with each placing plac-ing on exhibition some of the finest fin-est furniture in all America. Comment from visitors indicated that the affair was a complete success, and the furniture dealers, as representative as any group in Utah, were pleased with the turnout turn-out and the shopping follow-up that appeared certain for the next few weeks. |
