Show Theater and Restaurant Final Preparations Underway For Holladay Art and Hobby Show Final plans were made this week for the annual Art and Hobby Show for the Holladay Community to be held March 22, and 23rd. Living portraits of world masterpieces will be the feature of the show. This new method of presenting famous arts has met with much success in other areas and will be used for the first time this year in Holladay. Great works to be shown with living models include "Pinky" by Lawrence with Natalie Nata-lie Shaw as the model; "Pioneer Boy" by J. T. Harwood and Charles Andrews as the model and Gainsborough's Gains-borough's "Blue Boy" with Peggy Peg-gy Price as model. Commentator for the show will be John Rock and background music will be provided by the well-known musician, Mrs. J. Bertell Bunker. Famed Utah artists will exhibit their works for the two day show and all interested persons are invited in-vited to display paintings and hobbies for the event. Included in the show will be the art works of the Holladay Junior High School. Committee in charge of arranging ar-ranging the outstanding exhibit includes Mrs. Clyde Thompson, Mrs. Stanford Stoddard, Mrs. Owen Andrews and Lucille Nielson and as in other years the Parent-Teacher Parent-Teacher Association of Holladay elementary school are assisting in . sponsoring the affair. Much credit for the impressive backgrounds for the living portrayals goes to talented Donna Saxod who did the paintings. Donna is a daughter of the well-known artist. Elsa Saxod and is also a painter in her own right. Staging for the event has been under the direction of Ruth Peterson. Art lovers from the entire area are invted to exhibit and attend the show. |
