S. E. LIONS HEAR ARABIA TALK The South East Lions club heard a lecture, and was shown colored slides by Dr. Marion G. Merkley, assistant superintendent of the Salt Lake City schools, at a meeting meet-ing Monday evening. Dr. Merkley told of his recent visits in Palistine and Arabia during dur-ing his tour of duty with the state department. Dr. Merkley was invited invit-ed by the state department to spend two years in Arabia to in struct and outline programs in the educational department. There were 35 members at the dinner which was held at Mark's House of Food. Richards Brimley, vice president, conducted. Stuart Manookin is publicity pub-licity chairman.
