Show National G e ogni ; 1 ic FLUKE LARDS AT OLYMPUS gribirgh mm Representatives of the National Na-tional Geographical Society lit-eially lit-eially flew to Olympus high school last week when Capt. Charles B. Garnett landed his light air force plane onto the school's football field. Aboard were Allen Fisher, writer, and Jack Fletcher, photographer, pho-tographer, of the famed National Na-tional Geographical Society. They had come to Olympus to do a feature story for their magazine on the Civil Air Patrol Pa-trol cadets program throughout through-out the nation. Against a backdrop of Mt. Olympus shots were taken of the cadets on drill as well as the maneuvering of a Link trainer by the enthusiastic unit. Also photographed were the model aircraft of Allen Shively brought to Olympus for the occasion. Commandant of the Olympus contingent of the Utah wing is Keith Howick. His assistant commanding officer is Charles - Bisele while adjutant of the unit is Jerry Van Orman. Representing the Utah CAP wing command at the affair were Col. Ralph B. Ottenheim-er Ottenheim-er and Lt. Col. Rex J. Wride, commandant of cadets. |
