Show HIGHLAND LADY LIONS ELECT The Highland Lady Lions elected officers at a meeting and canasta party at the home of Mrs. Frank Harmon, 1925 Lambourne Ave., Wednesday evening. Elected were Mrs. Vern Hoggan, president; Mrs. Royal Metcalf, vice president;, Mrs. Larry Cooley, secretary, sec-retary, and Mrs. A. U. Pardini, historian. Mrs. Vincent Peterson, Mrs. Frank Harmon and Mrs. Lloyd Metcalf were elected directors and Mrs. Bert Golightly is the holdover hold-over director. Twenty-one members played canasta ca-nasta and were served refreshments refresh-ments by the hostesses: Mrs. William Wil-liam S. Christensen, Mrs. Vern Hoggan, Mrs. David A. Adamson and Mrs. A. U. Pardini, officers, and Mrs. Doris Deyoe, Mrs. Betty Metcalf Met-calf and Mrs. Dora Golightly, board members. Nineteen members of the club will attend the Salt Lake conference, con-ference, to be held in Elko May 1 and 2. The group has purchased White Stag skirts and blouses in gold, with purple lettering, to wear to the conference. The new officers will be installed in-stalled at a candle light ceremony Wednesday, May 13. |
