Show MRS. CORA LINDSAY ASHTON HONORED OH SO BIRTHDAY mother, grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She has 11 sons and daughters, 10 living; 43 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Sons and daughters are Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Watson, Mrs. LeGrand Richards, Rich-ards, Mrs. Richard Collett, Mrs. Joseph E. Kjar, Mrs. David Thomas, Thom-as, Mrs. Russell Yeates, Mrs. Ar-mand Ar-mand Eardley, Henry L., Jed L. and Clifford Ashton, all of Salt Lake City, and Elmer T. Ashton, Portland. Mrs. Cora Lindsay Ashton, 2145 South 23rd East, was honored guest at an open house Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. celebrating her 90th birthday. The open house was held for family and friends at the home of her son, Jed L. Ashton, 2490-23rd East. She was born in Morganton, N. C , in 1864 and lived a colorful life at the end of the Civil war. The family was converted by the LDS missionaries and came to Utah in 1875. The pride of her family are the ' many beau'iful afghans. quilts and baby clothes made by the elderly |
