Show KNOX BRADFORD PROMOTED BY RIO GRANDE Retirement of Fred C. Hogue, vice president-traffic of the Denver Den-ver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, Rail-road, was "regretfully" announced Saturday by Wilson McCarthy, Rio Grande president. The retirement will become effective ef-fective on January 1, 1955. at which time Mr. Hogue will have completed more than 45 years of service with the Rio Grande. He will be succeeded as head of the road's traffic department depart-ment by R. Knox Bradford, now vice president of the line at Salt Lake City. In making the announcement, McCarthy called the forthcoming retirement "a very real loss to the Rio Grande." "He has achieved a highly respected re-spected place in the traffic fraternity fra-ternity throughout the United States," McCarthy said, "due to his intimate knowledge of all problems prob-lems of railroad freight transportation. transpor-tation. "The management expresses its appreciation of his loyal and outstanding out-standing service, and joins his associates as-sociates and many friends in wishing wish-ing him happiness contentment and good health in the years ahead." |
