Show NEAL WHITE TO HEAD CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY PROMOTION CAMPAIGN C. G. (Neal) White, vice president presi-dent of the Sugar House First Security Se-curity bank, this week was named general chairman of the Christmas promotion program sponsored by the Sugar House chamber of commerce. com-merce. Kurt Jessup, J. C. Penney's, and Lindel Petersen, Rainbow Neon Sign company, were named vice chairmen of the affair. White, identified with virtually all Sugar House civic projects, will direct the 1954 holiday promotion, slated to be one of the most energetic en-ergetic and sure-fire campaigns in the history of the community. The Christmas committee will recommend late shopping nights, advertising and other promotions upon which Sugar House has become be-come famous for its cooperation and end results. Beginning Friday, Nov. 26, there will be late store hours 12 shopping shop-ping nights featuring the 9 p.m. closing, it was reported. The following Monday Nov. 29, also will be a 9 p. m. closing date, and each succeeding Friday and Monday up to and including Friday, December 17, stores will remain open until 9 o'clock. From December 17 through December De-cember 23, which is the Thursday Thurs-day before Christmas, stores will all remain open every night until 9 p. m. From this late shopping hour schedule, customers may take advantage ad-vantage of the spacious off-street parking lots and other accommodation, accommoda-tion, as well as the convenient hours, to do their Christmas shopping shop-ping liesurely, conveniently and among thousands of bargains to be tabbed for holiday sales this winter. |
