Loftis and Blanche Sheffield and two youngsters. Blanche has been doing some temporary work downtown and thoroughly enjoying it . . . Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alley spending spend-ing the holiday at home while the wee ones suffered chicken pox. . . . Mrs. Ronnie McLean wore gardenias on her smart checked suit as a joint Easter-birthday Easter-birthday celebration. Little Wendy had a corsage, too. All Veterans' Heights is sad because Harlan and Gerry Clark and son Paul have moved from the neighborhood. neighbor-hood. A buffet supper was held in their honor Sunday evening. Paul's little friends treated him to a going-away party, too. These popular people peo-ple will surely be missed. They're still in the southeast area now but are closer to Sugar House as a temporary move while they lay plans for a new home. Congratulations to parents of new stork club members. This week Mr. and Mrs. Alvin C. Al-vin Al-vin C. Soderborg, 2619 East 3210 South Street happily welcomed wel-comed their second daughter to town. Mr. and Mxs. George Prince have a new baby at home, too, which makes three! small fry in their new home on Twenty-ninth South. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Diekman are in the pink layette business now, too. Their tiny , daughter arrived in Mrs. Henry L. Ashton and Mrs. Geroge N. Curtis flew back to Philadelphia to spend Easter with their children, Dr. Homer Curtis and his wife, the former Enid Ashton. Of course, the grandchildren were very important reasons for the trip, too. Ricky, Cathy, Johnny and Paul are the apples ap-ples of their grandmothers' eyes to be sure. Out for Easter holiday rides . . . Lottie and Ed McKay and town last week. They'll be taking tak-ing her home to 2631 Thirteenth East before long. Shopping in Sugar House this week were some well-known well-known south easterners. Saw Mrs. Lawrence Hyde looking very attractive in a red gabardine gab-ardine coat with matching red hat and saucy veiling. She is one of the smartest dressers in this area, we think. . . . Rex and Peggy Firth left their Indian In-dian Hill home and gardening garden-ing work long enough to pick up some notions on the square. . . . Saw Mrs. Alma Cottam stopping to chat with friends. Mrs. Bunny Clark had her children with her for a pre-Easter jaunt to Sugar House. . . . Mrs. Mclvin Glade and her little girl were an attractive twosome. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Higgenbotham made a day of it with groceries and other needs weighing them down as they hurried to their car. . . . Saw Mrs. Paul Huef-ner, Huef-ner, 1244 Lorraine Drive shopping shop-ping with friends. Big excitement on 2420 East . . Milton Weilenmann had television tele-vision put In for his wife and four adorable little children. And of course, the whole neighborhood neigh-borhood is getting use out of it at the moment. |
