Show SUP Arrange Party Sept. 27 Commemorating the first public pub-lic meeting held by the pioneers at Winter Quarters one hundred years ago, Sept. 27, 1846, the local lo-cal Sons of the Utah Pioneers are planning a gala evening of dance and entertainment on the evening of the 27th. The theme for the evening will be "Remember "Re-member Winter Quarters." The Avalon Ballroom (located on State street, just two miles south of Jordan high school) . has been reserved for the large group of SUP members, their guests and friends. Highlighting the evening's festivities will be the entertaining floorshow of W. C. Robinson and his talented troup. Music for the evening will be furnished by Harold Geertsen and his orchestra. . The spectacular floorstiow being be-ing planned by Mr. Robinson has been in rehearsal for several weeks. The dance routines and other numbers will be staged with unusual lighting effects, and the costumes of the dancers will be of pioneer design and color. These dances will be similar sim-ilar to those danced at Winter Quarters. |
