Show Chamber Meeting Wednesday Will Nominate Board Full attendance of all members mem-bers of the Sugar House Cham-, bcr of Commerce is urged tor the luncheon meeting next Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Oct. 3, at 12:15 at Wea-sku Wea-sku Inn, when nominations will be made for the chamber's board of directors. The final election of directors will be held Oct. 17, after which the o,,, rii.-pctoi-s. together with the holdovers, will name the officers offi-cers for the coming year. John C. Barnes present president, pres-ident, and a holdover director, announced that the terms of four of the present directors are now expiring, and that they will be either replaced or renamed. They are Holger M. Larsen (who is also secretary-treasurer) Don1 R. Hobbs, Paul L. Pehrson, and Horace B. Richards. The lattc" two are filling unexpired terms of former directors. At a meeting of the board, called for Monday at 6:15 at the o unnn t nmVipr nffires. the OUgCll JJMUlMvi - , directors will consider a proposal pro-posal to increase the number of directors from seven, as now set up, to nine. This increase Is suggested because of the recent growth in chamber membership and the diversification of its activities ac-tivities which requires a corresponding cor-responding increase in committee commit-tee and executive work. Present holdover members of the board in addition to Mr. Barnes are Allen Al-len Seegmiller, vice president, and G. Rodney Ashton. |
