Show Mirror Lake Area Is Planted With Graylings First plantings of graylings in Utah's waters were made during dur-ing the past week, announces Director J. Perry Egan of the Utah Fish and Game Commission. Commis-sion. In several of the waters of the Mirror Lake basin, 178,-000 178,-000 fry were distributed. They were placed only in waters that had previously been planted with this species. Because of the need to get the fry into the waters and the late, high snow levels in this area, it was necessary to take them in by back pack. The grayling has been many times mistaken for an inferior fish. Actually, it is one of our better game fish, and a prime one to eat. It is easily identified iden-tified by the large dorsal fin and is best, prepared for the table by skinning before cooking, cook-ing, according to department spokesmen. |
