Show Society Notes WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Norvan L. Starrs, 2004 Douglas, are announcing the marriage of their daughter Maralyn to Glen Zerull, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Stoll, 734 Emerson Ave. Bishop O. E. Jorgenson performed per-formed the ceremony Friday evening at the Starrs home before be-fore members of the wo families. On Wednesday evening between be-tween the hours of 8 and 11, an "open house" honored the new-lyweds new-lyweds at the home of the bride's parents. A host of friends and relatives called during the evening to congratulate the young couple. Did you hear that Arden Lou Hunt and Allan G. Lund are going go-ing to be married? Uh huh, May 5 is the happy date they're looking look-ing forward to. Arden Lou is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E. A. Hunt of 933 East Seventeenth South St. Allan is a son of Mrs. Verda R. Lund of 1207 Seventeenth Seven-teenth .South St. Alpha Delta Pi house on the U of U campus will be the scene of the nuptial ceremony. Joseph L. Wise will officiate. Arden Lou has chosen her attendants, at-tendants, too. They'll be Mrs. Lee D. Seorts, Mrs. Richard W. . Shorthill, Miss Jean Patton, Miss Pat Lund and Miss Barbara Lund. Lee D. Seorts will be best man. Charles Nickel, Metropolitan Indoor Ice Skating champion from New York City put on a demonstration at Hygeia Iceland Ice-land last Monday night. Mr. Nickel was passing through Salt ! Lake on his way to the national meet being held at Broadmore in Colorado Springs. "He had heard about our new rink and was anxious to try it out," said Al Larsen, rink manager. Mr Lars-en said that many top national na-tional skating figures have stop-pod stop-pod over in Salt Lake to try oui the new rink since it openetl last month. |
