Show Notes From ... Beckstrand-Soel-berg Nuptials ' Last week was very special for the Becktrand and Solbers families of this ward, for three reasons. On August 21th Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Soelberg celebrated celebrat-ed their wedding anniTersary. On August 28th Dorothy Beck-strand Beck-strand and Charles E. Solberg were united In marriage, and on Angust 30th, Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Beckstrand celebrated their wedding anniversary During the week Charles and Dorothy honored their parents at a dinner din-ner at Stephenson's Cafe The Kronp decided to make the dinner din-ner an annual affair, to celebrate cele-brate the three anniversaries together Thursday evening, August 28, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Soelberg Soel-berg stood before a bower of flowers in the Yalecrest ward and greeted their friends for the first time as man and wife. They were married Thursday morning morn-ing in the Temple. Immediately after they recited their marriage vows a wedding breakfast honored hon-ored them at the home of the groom's parents, 1264 Westminster. Westmin-ster. Avenue. The new Mrs. Soelberg i the former Dorothy Beckstrand. Dorothy chose traditional white for her wedding gown. Her lace-edged veil was caught in a coronet by orange blossoms. Her bouquet was rosebuds and stephonatis surrounding a yellow yel-low orchid. Marian Grant, maid of honor, wore a blue govn and carried a bouquet of asters, rosebuds and gladiolas. Betty Gunderson wore a rose gown and carried a similar bouquet; Lois Gundersen wore a turquoise gown and carried car-ried asters, gladiola and roses. Little flower girls Kay Heggin-son Heggin-son and Sharon' Fahrni were gowned in yellow and pink respectively. re-spectively. Bernell Soelberg was best man for his brother. After a honeymoon at Carmei-by-the-Sea, the young couple will be at home at 1264 Westminster. West-minster. A sidelight or two on Beckstrand Beck-strand - Soelberg wedding: Charles and Dorothy pulled a fast one by handcuffing them selves together so their friends could not separate them. Dick Bateman and Ernie Zobrist caught them, however, and gave them a wild ride thru town in Ernie's convertable. After the bride and groom danced the "bridal waltz" the "anniversary waltz" was played in honor of the newlyweds and both sets of parents. |
