Show BOWLINC NEWS The Southside league last week was led by the Sugar Bowl team with a 2729 series, including Reed , Worthen's pace setting 241 game and 650 series. However, Dave Chipman of Dee's Hamburgers' squad put Reed into second place when he laid the pine low with a 675 series and 245 game. The Southeast Courts team had 1015 for high game. Motor Merc again took high scores in the Independent league, having 2564 for series and 933 for game. John Mellor of the Block and Guss team was high individual individ-ual with 582 and his high game was 234. In the ladies Forest league, Locust Lo-cust and Pine tied for high series last week, each team rolling 1963, but Locust took high game with 750 and Lulu Parry had 181 for high single game. A new name appeared among high series bowlers bowl-ers when Polly Boyers rolled a nice 480 series for Poplar. Bill Swan made a pretty 642 in the Southeast league and the In-dendents In-dendents took a firmer hold on top place by taking 3 points from Phil and Joe. Mecca Bar had 2641 and 968 for high series and game, while Harmon Anderson rolled247 high game in a' 614 seriies, and Guggisberg had 600. The Lumbermen were led by Union Assay with a 2603 series and M.-M. Mill with a 992 game Friday Night, and these teams are now in In a 3 way tie with Auto Supply in second place in the league. Utah Pigeon Club is in top spot. Chick Stevens had 588 for individual series and R. Keddington had a nice 246 game. A big moment came to Margaret Baylor in the Cardinal ladies last Friday when she added 191, 194 and 200 to ake a beautiful 585 series. Margaret is really going go-ing to town, having rolled a 235 game a few weeks ago. Thor Tools set the pace Monday Mon-day night with a 2783 series and a 950 game taking 3 points from Sugar House Coal. They are just behind Granite Mills first place. |
