Lion Heber ha3 secured Last Thursday night at our regular monthly dinner meeting meet-ing Lion Will Nichol of the Holladay club and Lion Murry Allen of the Salt Lake club, assisted as-sisted by two members of the Utah work shop for the adult blind, entertained us and outlined out-lined the work of the blind in the state. This .program was very interesting and well re- ceiyed by the members in at tendance.- The' nomination committee has been instructed to return its report at the next regular business meeting on April ?.5. i All members of the club should be in attendance at this meeting meet-ing to approve this report and to make nominations from the floor if they are not wholely in accord with the committee's recommendations. The election will be held on May 9 at our next regular monthly dinner meeting. It is every member's right and duty to cast a ballot in this election. Plan on being on hand at this meeting to support sup-port the member of your choice. As announced last week in this column the Lions club of Holladay with the cooperation of the Holladay and Olympus P-TA units are sponsoring a mass meeting April 29. This was scheduled for the 24 but due to conflict had to be changed. The meeting will be held in the Olympus Jr., high auditorium at 8 p.m. Representatives of the Utah cancer committee will be in attendance to discuss this ' problem. ( Lion Roy Hobbs, onr hard working secretary, has complained com-plained to me that he does not have the correct address of all the members- Since we sponsored a project to have the numbers on our homes correct to assist people to find us when we give them our address, Roy will appreciate appre-ciate your help on this little 36 members into the hospitalization hospital-ization plan. If you have not been contacted regarding this plan contact Heber and he will give you all the details on how to save yourself some hard earned cash. Wn have just learned that the Holladay school has arranged a paper drive about the same time that we had scheduled our drive. In view of the fact that they have a very worthy causo behind their drive. We are goin? to abandon our paper drive ana' ask that every one arrange to have their paper taken over to the Holladay school to help the kids out Just as a matter ' record they are going to raise enough money to purchase a motion picture projootor wit'-sound wit'-sound that our children might I enjoy some of the visual edu- cation pictures that have been prepared. Let's all help this worthy project. Remember our next businrs' meeting April 25 at the Olym-i Olym-i pus Jr. High. Dr. T. L. Par-melee Par-melee of the physics dept of the University of Utah will he with us to discuss the atomic bomb.
