Show Goi Job Is to Sa?e 1PS dollars Buy aSS; War Bonds L S;h Every Pay Day WILL HAVE TO DIG DEEPER TO 3IAKE JUNE QUOTA All over Utah income ea.-ners will be asked to dig deep er into their pockets than ever before in June in order to do their part in the war finance effort, it was disclosed today with the annoncement that the June War Bond quota for the state is $1,746, 600. I The voluntary quota is nearly 50 per cent more than the $1,201,-000 $1,201,-000 quota for May and more than double the average monthly bond purchases for the last half of 1941 which was $839,850. The Utah Administrator of the War Savings Staff, emphasized that the only means of reaching the quota is to attain the Treasury Treas-ury Department's goal of purchases pur-chases averaging 10 per cent of individual income. He emphasized that this can , best be carried out by regular, planned rmrchases and urged that all workers participate in the Payroll Allotment Plan, now wide ly installed among employers. All Utah firms, having 100 or more employees, now have joined the Plan and smaller employers are rapidily signing up. |
