Show BOWLING During the last two weeks the summer leagues have been going strong. The May 18th session of Southeast league put Acme Ale in possession of the high scores with a 1943 series and 681 game. H. Gillespie and Bill Ward tied with 559 for high individual series, ser-ies, and Bill had the 212 high game. Rita and Frank Dillingham Dilling-ham won the cup given to the couple with high game. On May 25th Acme Ale rolled 2052 high series, while Acme Beer had a 757 game. McGregor's 569 was high series, and Walt Fellows rolled 222 for high game. The cup went to Erma Stevenson, the lady rolling the highest handicap series. In the Wednesday night league the Williams-Grimm team made a clean sweep of the high scores on May 20th. They rolled 1969 for series and 682 for game, while Phil Grimm was high individual with a 558 series and 210 game The cup was won by Madge Gs.r-ton Gs.r-ton with the highest ladies handicap hand-icap score. The next week tre high series and game went to the Jones-Collins combination which' is at the top of the league now. They bowled 1928 series and 661 game. Carl Henatsch went wild with a 611 series and 245 game to win the cup of the session. In the Thursday league Doc Phillips has Been the individual star for two weeks with 594 and 634 series. He and Bill Lutz each rolled 224 on May 21st, and Tom Fowler had a 221 for high game this week. The Pitt-Hendricks team has rolled the high team scores for both weeks, but the Mclntosh-Fowler combination is at the top of the league in points won. Bill and Emma Lutz took the cup one week, while Iva Burnett Bur-nett and Esther Pitt in a tie were each awarded a cup this week. |
