Show NEWS TIDBITS I From The Bulletin Files i FIFTEEN YEARS AGO MARCH 21, 1936 Mr. and Mrs. George Dixon returned last week from a two weeks' vacation to cities in Arizona and also visiting Boulder Dam, San Diego Fair, and Los Angeles. Mr. Dixon states the water at Boulder Dam has backed up for over fifty mies and is 200 feet deep at the dam. TEN YEARS AGO MARCH 21, 1941 Sugar House residents will soon be able to purchase awnings awn-ings and tents in this locality. Walter 0. Peterson and Verd W. Edwards will open their new store at 2132 S. 11th East. Mr. Peterson has been engaged en-gaged in the tent and awning business for 13 years. FIVE YEARS AGO MARCH 22, 1946 Wendell Ashton, secretary of the Deseret Sunday School Union, author of several books, and a descendant of pioneer stock, was chosen chairman of the newly organized organ-ized Sugar House chapter, Sons of Utah Pioneers, Thursday Thurs-day night at the Bryan Ward chapel. Guest speakers were Harold H. Jenson, state president, pres-ident, and Lawrence T. Epperson, Ep-person, founder and organization organi-zation chairman. |
