Show Social Arts Units Give MIA Program A good-sized crowd was treated treat-ed to an evening of first class entertainment a week ago Tuesday Tues-day when the Bryan ward MIA cultural arts groups presented a varied and interesting program. pro-gram. To open the evening, the drama group presented the one-act one-act play, "The Burglar." This was followed by songs by the first year Beehive chorus, after which Roger Purdie sang "The Bells of .St. Mary's" and the "Sow Song." Joan Larson presented a reading read-ing after which Bonnie Pollei recited a poem, "You Have to Believe." Beverly Monne gave a reading, "Hello, Central," after aft-er which the dance department gave demonstrations of several dance steps. At the end of the program the floor was cleared and dancing was enjoyed to the music of Shingleton's orchestra. Don Busath. |
