Show Out East Mill Creek Way . . . huge watermelons. Lambda Delta Sigma tried something unique in the way of a worship service Sunday night, with plenty of EMC'ers on hand. It was at Fairmont Park, with the moon for lighting effects ef-fects accompanied by several lovely musical and scriptural numbers. It was almost too dark to tell who was there, but I did spot ELAINE EHLERS, JOHN LYON, JOE JENSEN, DAR-LEEN DAR-LEEN KNAPTON, MARILYN OLESON and GRANNIE OLE-SON. OLE-SON. And, of course, famous EMCer LOWELL BENNION, president of the Institute, conducted con-ducted the program. By Mary Lythgoe Fall may be about to fall, but EMC'ers are still taking off on their summer vacations. JEAN and STEW MANWILL went to Yellowstone, and so did MR. and MRS. MARLOW WHITE. . MR. and MRS. CHAS. COLEMAN and daughter CHARLENE have departed for an invigorating sightsee to MINNEAPOLIS, no less! MRS. IRMA WALKER and daughters, daugh-ters, CLARICE and NORMA, are entertaining their son and big brother, SHERMAN WALKER, WALK-ER, and family from Long Beach. New faces are always welcome out our way. There's nothing fishy about EMCites, but they sure like to go swimming. The stake watertight water-tight was at Saratoga last week, with plenty of chlorine for all. They were all wet, but they had buckets of fun. ELAINE WATSON, MARIE BAGLEY, ROYO MALLORY, BOYD ANDERSON, AN-DERSON, LAMBERT JENSEN, LEWIS MCALLISTER, MAR-JORIE MAR-JORIE WHITE, JANICE JIXDD, CATHERINE DAVIES. BOYD WRIGHT, MARILYN WHITE, PAT NYE (I could go on like this forever) were in the swim. JOANN PEARSON and new fiancee, JACK EHLERS, EH-LERS, were also splashing around. DIXIE DANSIE, GEORGIA BERNARDS, SHIRLEY SHIR-LEY PORATH, ALICE SMITH, DEAN PARKIN, EDWIN ED-WIN BOLTON were more of the characters. The water in the pool wasn't enough for them afterwards they gorged on |
