Out in Holladay Ward, this week, two grandfathers had the privilege of blessing their little grandsons, children of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Sharp, 5074 HoHa-day HoHa-day blvd. Mr. Richard W. Young came all of the way from Berkeley, Calif., to bless little John Creer Sharp Jr., and Mr. Jessie B. Sharp from Salt Lake blessed Christopher Young Sharp. A crowd of friends and relatives rela-tives of Charles Lloyd were down to the railroad station bright and early Wednesday morning to bid him farewell. Charles left for San Francisco where he will sail for the New Zealand mission sometime in January. . He will fulfill a mission mis-sion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints there. Newlin of 4863 Viewmont Street, who are very proud to announce the birth of a 7Ms pound baby boy born to them at the Holy Cross Hospital Dec. 10. Velda Leatham has come back from Minneapolis, Minn., where she fulfilled an 18-months mission mis-sion for the LDS Church in the North Central States. She has gone back to Shelley, Idaho, to make her home with her folks there. ' Miss Barbara Graham, who has been employed by the Schu-bach Schu-bach Jewelry Company for quite some time here in Salt Lake, flew to Boise, Idaho, last week for the opening of their Holladay Has I Xmas Spirit From looking at the clever decorating over at Carlos f Smith's and the gay little tree at Drage's Market you can see that the people of Holladay have now turned their thoughts to the Christmas season. Starting the season off, the Carlos Smiths had all of their employes over to their home last Friday night to a turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. Drage's Market Mar-ket is having pictures made of their cusomer's children to make a merrier Christmas for them. We are happy to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Taylor back into Holladay. They have recently moved back from Spanish Fork, and now live at 5482 Holladay Blvd. Mr. and Mrs. Webb Richards V of 4580 Holladay Boulevard spent most of last week in Southern California.
