Show iSugar House Women Organize Garden Club With the beautifieation of home surroundings in mind, and the urgency of encouraging Victory gardens as major projects, the Sego Lily Garden Club was organized or-ganized Monday afternoon at the j Sprague Branch library in Sugar-1 house. Meetings of the club are to be held on the first arid third Mondays of the month. I Mrs. Seymour Wells, who has j j been helpful n organizing gdiden jelubs in many localities, was guest speaker. Mrs. Harvey Han- son. was chosen president. Other officers are first vice-president, I Mrs. E. L. Brinton; second vice- president, Mrs. F. H. Wilcox; treasurer, Mrs. 3. Donald Willes: recording secretary, Mrs. C. W. Picht: corresponding secretary, Mrs. H. J. Larson; historian, Miss H. C. Johnson. Committee chairmen are Mrs. Garry Helmle, publicity; Mrs L. H. Sorensen, flower show; Mrs. C. A. Coon, program; Mrs. P. J. McDermott, hospitality and Mis. A. J. Schweppe, membership. Residents of the Southeast are are invited to become members of this newly organized club, which has outlined a program that will present much valuable., information informa-tion on, flower, shrub and truck garden cultivation. |
