Show "Scarlet Letter" Scheduled For KSL T V Monday tee, of which Mark Van Doren, New York author and critic, is national chairman. Schools, colleges, study groups, publishers, Parent-Teachers' Parent-Teachers' Associations, libraries and thousands of interested individuals in-dividuals are collaborating to make an outstanding mid-century event of the centennial. One of the most outstanding programs yet presented by KSLTV on the Studio One television aeries will be the dramatization, on April 17 at 9 p.m., of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Haw-thorne's "The Scarlet Letter," the moving romance which assured as-sured literary immortality for that pioneer New England writer. Video presentation of this classic over the CBS-TV network net-work will be a highlight in observance ob-servance of the hundredth anniversary an-niversary of the original publication, pub-lication, in Boston, of "The Scarlet Letter," and will aid in commemorating Hawthorne's rise as America's first great man of letters.
