Show Soutlieasterners in the News Well known southeasterner GEORGE S. SPENCER, 2002 E. 21st South, was honored Tuesday Tues-day evening at the Hotel Utah Roof Garden by employes of the Zion's Savings Bank and Trust . Company.. Now a retired vice-president vice-president of the company, Mr. Spencer joined the bank in 1900 as a clerk. He is a former bishop bish-op of the Forest Dale Wird and served in the Granite Stake presidency. He is now a patriarch. pa-triarch. Another southeasterner, southeastern-er, ERNEST A. NELSON, was also honored previous to his departure to Hawaii as first counselor in the L. D. S,. mission mis-sion presidency. LOYD E ARNOLD, 1330 East Claybourne Ave., was recently elected president of the Toast-master Toast-master Club No 608. The club, formed two years ago, is the first organization of its kind in the state. Youthful southeasterner DALE NEWBOLD, was selected select-ed youth chairman of Boys' and Girls' Week during a meeting held at the Red Feather Building, Build-ing, 117 South State. Dale is the son of MR. and MRS. GEORGE L NEWBOLOD, 809 Downington Ave Eighty-three years young is the distinction of HYRUM J. SMITH, 2375 8th East, who celebrated cele-brated his birthday Sunday, April 9 Mr. Smith still loves to drive his automobile on frequent fre-quent trips throughout the state. W. J. O'CONNOR SR., 2610 Evergreen Ave., was master of ceremonies at a dinner meeting Monday evening of the newly-organized newly-organized Twenty-five Year Club of the American Smelting and Refining Co.
