Show jStation BP W So much static, but tune in this is the third time we have ' tried to get a message thru, BUT I'm so busy I'm tired and dizzy; I move like an army "Jeep" There is so much to do besides earning a living, I can't find time to sleep. I watch bills, hear about ills and wills, gather fats and old tin cans, Mend my clothes, do my washing, my mending, scrub pots and pans, Go without things and pay more taxes, buy more bonds to whip the Japs and the Axis. Live on a budget and ration cards not lose; Go easy on sugar, su-gar, on canned goods and shoes; Help with Civilian Defense, Red Cross and USO; Entertain nurs es and a soldier beau, Make bandages, do sewing, knit sweaters and socks; Take courses in nursing, nutrition, and such; Find games for the hospital and make cookies too; And call on my neighbor who is feeling blue; I must be plumber and carpenter, even tinker with wirees, And carry my bundles to save gas and tires. Sure I need the exercise to keep my waist ,'ine trim. For last - year's corset is wearing thin. Now I must figure the tax on my income and faint. Then borrow to pay it just like a good saint. I must keep track of my legislators legisla-tors and see that they don't take away my rights and cut my pay. Since there is no place on earth for a "dumb cluck." Into my head I must information chuck; So I must find time to read and to meeting go. And to make it my duty to see that things don' move slow. There's so much t6 do, but I find while I'm "on the run," That you're all just as busy and ain't we got fun." B.P.W Bulletin |
