Show Nora Prentiss Now At Mario Warners' "Nora Prentiss" the current screen attraction at the Mario theater is anin tense melodrama, mel-odrama, co-starring, Ann. .Sheridan, .Sheri-dan, Kent Smith and Bruce Bennett. Ben-nett. The film tells the story of a night club singer who falls in love with an already married mar-ried doctor, just when she felt that she had become too cynical cyni-cal about life in general, and nen in particular, to believe in anything, or anybody. Dr. Talbot (played by Kent Smith lives a dull, routine life with his nagging wife, Lucy (Rosemary DeCamp). and their two children. While Lucy and the youngsters are away for a weekend, Richard visits Nora, who is a patient of his, at the night club where she works. They are instantly attracted to each other, and soon begin to spend a good deal of time together, to-gether, secretly, until Nora realizes real-izes that they .can't continue their clandestine relationship and be happy. When Nora decides to leave for a singing job in New York, he becomes frantic and commits com-mits a strange deed whereby he changes his identity and can accompany Nora to New York. Plagued with the fear of discovery, dis-covery, Richard's whole personality person-ality changes, until at last his terrible secret is distorted and the film moves-, on. to. a surpris-j surpris-j irigly ironic climax. . . . |
