Show Silver Spurs Wen Honors at Rupert, Competing with leading riding rid-ing clubs of Utah and Idaho, the Silver Spurs and Saddleirs captured several honors in the Interstate Riding Association championships held Saturday, Sept 10, at Rupert, Idaho. The two clubs are composed of riders from Holladay and Murray. ' First Place The Silver Spurs won first place among the women's drill teams and took third place in competing with both men and women. They were also awarded award-ed second place in the parade and fourth place in the grand entry. Rex Dennis and Ray Quick won third prize for the Saddleirs Sad-dleirs Club in the matched pair event. Other Utah teams taking Tooele Wins honors at the Rupert meet included in-cluded the Tooele Bit and Spur Club, which won the potato race and the broom polo competition, compe-tition, and the Ute Rangers, who were awarded fourth place for their drill team. |
