Show STATE HEALTH REPORT According to reports from local health officers, a total of 430 cases of communicable iseases was reported for the week ending April 17 as compared with 506 for the previous week and 625 for the corresponding week in 1943. Daggett, Emery, Garfield and Sevier conties was reported by tie local health officers to be free from communicabele disease. No reports have been received from the health officers of Cedar City and the following counties: Grand, Kane, Morgan, Piute and San Juan. Cache County and Ogden City each reported one case of epidemic epide-mic meningitis. The patient were 1 and 6 years of age, respectfully. mlc meningtis - were reported. Since the first of the year, a total of 11 cases of epidemic meningtis mening-tis has been reported from various sections of the State. Millard County reported 3 cases of tuberculosis and 1 case of this disease was reported from Utah County. The three cases reported report-ed from Millard County are living !at the Japanese Camp at Topaz, Utah. I Ogden City reported one case of amoebic dysentery the patient i is an adult, 27 years of age, and according to the attending physician, physi-cian, apparently became infected berore coming to the state. The totals for the week were as follows: Chickenpox 65, influenza 22, measles 43, epidemic meningitis meningi-tis 2. non-epidemic meningitis 2, scarlet fever 93, tuberculosis 4, whooping cough 33, syphilis 7, amoebic dysentery 1, and rheumatic rheu-matic fever 4. m |
