Palm had 79 for high game, and Joe Burnett of the Sycamore team had individual honors with 487 and 179. Barnett and Weise strengthened their top position in the Southside league with a 3 point win and high 2777 series, although the race is still a close one. Central Lumber's 978 was good for high game, with H. Quayles' 254 high individual. C. P. Anderson had a 644 series and Hugo Ensign had 632 for the only other series over 600. Van Morley's beautiful 6 5 7 series was the talk of the Southeast South-east League last Wednesday night and H. Romney had 1.36 for high game. Local No. 57 got hot to take high series and game with 2674 and 993, while N. O. Nelson and Frank's Card Shop were the teams taking 4 points to improve their position in the league. The Birrell Bottling Company's 4 team league got underway on Thursday night, and Mission Orange Or-ange leads off with 2589 series, 906 game, and a 4 point win. Bill Rankin's 585 series was high and Clare Randall's 242 was high game. These fellows bring their ladies who bowl on two extra alleys. al-leys. U. S. Gypsum with 2649 series and K's Inn were the teams of the Lumberman's league that took 4 points last Friday. R. Avery rolled 613 for high series while M. Behunin had a 240 high same. The M and M Yard had 924 for high team game, and are gradually grad-ually gaining points on the top place Utah Pigeon club team. In the ladies Cardinal league the Southeast and the Trucker-ettes Trucker-ettes each took 4 points, but Utah Drugless Health Clinic had 2302 for high series and Wendell's Market 789 high game. Iva Burnett Bur-nett was high individual, as seems to be her habit lately, with 551 series and 192 game. Nice going Iva. |
